Utilising the Me.reka Makerspace labs, a STEM product development course was organised to upskill the youth on product designing with the principle of sustainability.
The programme recognised the pressing need for many individuals and enterprises to have production-level equipment available for prototyping.
20 students from 10 different schools in Malaysia were educated on 21st-century skills through Me.reka's labs and developed their own renewable energy products, designed with sustainability.
To conclude the programme, an international competition was held among the participants with their product outcomes: Laser cut clock, Plastic bag pouches, Eco brick chairs, Plastic badges, Wood engraving, Upcycle cloth products, Solar powered light.
